This sheet of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) will attempt to answer any questions you might have about our facility, your membership, and your membership contract. Membership FAQ
Can I cancel my membership contract?
Still in payment term: You can cancel if you move outside a 25 mile radius from any of our 16 Utah facilities. A proof of relocation document would need to be provided (utility bill or lease agreement in your name showing the new address) along with the $100 cancellation fee. When both items are received the membership will be cancelled and payments stopped.
Can I use my membership in another State or Franchise?
If you want to use your membership at another Gold’s Gym where you move, we do have a GGI transfer that you the member can generate with the help of the Corporate Office. You would locate the club you want to use, contact them and find out if they will participate in the GGI transfer and take your contract. If they will you then contact the Utah Corporate Office 801-426-8644 or 877-877-0343 or email us at reception@goldsgymutah.com and let us know you want to GGI your membership.
The Customer Service Team will get the process rolling for you.
Renewal Cancellation
You have met your obligated payment term and the automatic renewal started. This requires a 30 day notice to cancel the renewal. You may contact the corporate office at 801-426-8644 or 877-877-0343 or email the notice to reception@goldsgymutah.com. Supply your member number, full name, and phone number you can be reached.

Transfer Membership
If you are not relocating your membership you can transfer the contract to another person. Your contract must be current on payments and both parties must be present at the time of signing. The transfer may be done at the Paramount Office or Orem Corporate Office.

Personal Training FAQ
Can I bring my own personal trainer to the gym?
Unfortunately, no. Our own certified personal trainers would be happy to help you with any of your needs!
I have questions about an exercise machine or working out a certain muscle group. Who can help me?

General FAQ
What is the Facility Improvement Fee?
In an effort to continually be upgrading amenities and equipment in every one of our clubs, we’ve instituted a semi-annual Facility Improvement Fee (FI Fee). Every July and January, $15 from each of our members goes directly into a Facility Improvement fund. 100% of that money is used to purchase new and upgraded exercise machines, add entire sections and amenities to our clubs, improve the quality of existing facilities, and purchase new fitness equipment for the workout floor, weights area, aerobics area, and aquatic areas.
So what has this fee been doing for you lately? The list is impressive, and includes brand new cardio cinemas, cardio equipment with personal video screens and iPod/MP3 player hookups, new spin bikes, improved tennis, child care, and aerobic facilities, and much more. This way we’re constantly able to improve our clubs and your fitness experience.
I lost my barcode – can I get another one?
Yes, you can. For a $5 fee any of the gym front desks can reissue you a new one. A state issued ID will be required to verify your identity. If you still have your barcode but it has worn off your key chain, then we will replace it for free.
Does freezing stop my payments?
You can freeze your membership time for up to 2 years from the date of expiration of the obligated time of the promissory. Your payments will continue to be debited every month, but you’ll still retain the time you don’t use your membership. A membership freeze costs $25 and can be done at the Orem Corporate Office. Missionary and Military freezes must contact the Orem Corporate Office to supply documentation to complete the freeze.
How do I update my account billing, address or personal info?
You may go to our website “www.gympayment.com,” register 1 time, and update your billing from the comfort of home.

Can I make a payment online?
Yes, you may go to our website “www.gympayment.com,” register 1 time, and make future payments from the comfort of home.
What should I do if a piece of equipment is broken or an area of the gym is dirty?
Our first priority is keeping the gyms as clean and functional as possible. Please visit the front desk of the gym and report your concern so it may be addressed.

How much does racquetball and child care cost?
If you purchased or upgraded to a VIP Membership, racquetball and child care are both free! There are time restrictions to each, so check with your club for details. For more info on our Child Care facilities, please see our Child Care brochure available for download below.
For all other members, racquetball is $5 per participant for one hour (that does not include the $10 guest fee if one of the participants is not already a Gold’s Gym member).

How old do you have to be to work out in your clubs?
A parent can sign for a child at the age of 12 years, but the guardian must be with them when working out.
Who is Paramount?
Paramount is the billing and collections company for Gold’s Gym, Utah.
Who is Fiserv?
Fiserv is the billing company for Gold’s Gym Draper.
